I was in a long-running, story-based roleplay years ago that started on The Protomen forums, then later moved to a Proboards forum. I have an archive of the posts from the now-defunct Proto forums, and I was able to remember my login from the Proboards forum (which surprisingly is still there, but you need a working account to view it, a request I made of the forum admin some time ago). I still need to archive the Proboards forum. So far, I've just been re-reading the posts from the Proto forum. My eventual plan-- with approval from at least some of the people who participated-- is to turn the RP story into... a book? A long-term fanfic? I'm not scrubbing the names off it and calling it an original story or anything. I did participate, I wrote several characters, but for the "book" I'm kinda more an editor than an author. This is a pretty big undertaking, deciding what to add, what to take out, what to change-- how to tie up loose ends, how to deal with characters whose story didn't

Someone I follow on tumblr has just recently gotten into The Protomen, so they're looking through old blogs for fan material, and I gotta say... Refreshing the dash and having your own 10-year-old art suddenly staring you in the face feels really weird.
